Ludwigsberg Pumpkin Festival

What a great fall weekend! We had beautiful weather and went to the World's Largest Pumpkin festival in Ludwigsberg, Germany. The festival was very cool and took place at the Ludwigsberg Palace. What's not too love about a festival at a palace?!?! Each year they choose a different theme, and this year the theme was dinosaurs. There were larger than life dinosaurs made out of pumpkins-- the kids loved it of course. On the palace grounds was also a really neat garden area that had interactive fairy tale exhibits for kids. Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Hansel and Gretel, were a few of the fairy tales that the kids were able to see.

Rapunzel's Tower is in the background. Isn't beautiful? When you get to the tower, kids were to say: "Rapunzel Rapunzel, let down your hair!" (in German of course), and the braid of hair would lower from the top of the tower. Addy loved it!

Pumpkin soup, pumpkin pasta, pumpkin bread, pumpkin wine, pumpkin beer-- pure deliciousness! The best pumpkin soup we've ever tasted!
