Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! We had a wonderful day. We took my family to downtown DC to check out the National tree at the White House. It was a beautiful night!

Christmas Morning

We spent Christmas this year at home. My parents, brother and sister in law came to visit from Massachusetts. We spent all morning opening gifts. Our living room on Christmas morning was covered with presents! Most of them for Addy of course- her Grandparents sure spoil her!

Ugly Christmas Sweater Party

We hosted our "Ugly Christmas Sweater Party" this weekend. We had a blast! Lots of friends dressed up, and some didn't-- but here is our group shot of those who participated!
And the winner of the contest was Matt! Eve came in second.
All of Addy's friends also attended. Poor little baby got upset when Daddy put her on the floor!

Christmas decorating

Most of you know that Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year! I could hardly wait to pull out the decorations. The day after Thanksgiving, I pulled out everything. Addy sat in the living room and helped. I had to decorate her as well :)

Thanksgiving

Our first Thanksgiving at home! Mimi and Papa Rains came for the week to celebrate the wonderful holiday. We had a nice full crowd of 8 adults and little Addy.

Bumbo

Addy is strong enough to sit in her Bumbo seat! She loves it-- Mom and Dad have also heard her first giggles and laughs while sitting up.

Addy was given a blessing and dedicated at church in front of everyone on Sunday! Here we are as a proud family!

First Thanksgiving Feast

My friend, Jenny, hosted a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner party. We had a fun girls night out with yummy food and great company!

2 Month Update

Sorry it has taken us so long to update our blog! We've been busy with new changes around the house! I went back to work and that leaves Daddy in charge for about 5 hours a day. Addy and Daddy are having a blast together! Soon, I will be done working and can stay home with Addy all day long. At Addy's 2 month check-up she received her first round of shots. She initially was upset, but was back to her happy self minutes later! It also didn't seem to affect her at all the rest of the day. Addy weighed 12lbs 8oz at her 2 month check-up, pretty chunky for her age (90th percentile). Her length is average and her head circumference is huge!

With the Rockies down 3-0 in the world series, we're starting to feel a little desperate. Addy wore this outfit for all 3 games this far, tonight we may leave it off! Addy is the only one of her friends cheering for the Rockies.

We're so proud of Addy!!

Here is a picture of Addy the morning after she slept through the night for the first time! She was 7 weeks and 5 days old! We are very excited, but realize it may still be awhile until she does this consistantly.

Play Time!

Addy is growing and developing so much! She loves her play time and laying on her mats. She sometimes enjoys tummy time, but her favorite place is her changing table! She instantly giggles and stares at the family portrait every time she lays down to get changed. She also loves staring at the mobile in her crib.
