Fun in the snow!!

I was very disappointed when the snow cancelled all of our plans this weekend! Jeff and I had a really fun date night planned on Saturday night and tickets to see Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck on the their Bold Fresh Tour. It was postponed to May due to the weather (let's hope baby boy is not early because it is very close to my due date!) For the two years we've lived here it's snowed a total of about 10 inches, so I was doubtful of a "blizzard". But we definitely were dumped on this weekend! It snowed at least a foot and a half, which is a TON in this area. We drove up to the neighborhood golf courses and went sledding with a bunch of friends. The idea was great, but the snow was still coming down and the little ones did not like the snow blowing in their face. Addy went down one run with daddy on the sled, and had the snow thrown in her face so she was definitely over it at that point. Jeff continued to sled down with the big kids, and Addy joined her little friends in the warm car to watch movies.

All excited to go sledding!

Warm and cozy in the car (much happier here)
MacGregor the snow dog!
Here is a picture of the hill with some of the kids on it, there was even a dog who went chasing after everyone.

Addy's new bedding

I am getting very anxious to get new rooms together so I thought I would post pictures of what we've picked out. Here is a picture of Addy's new bedding. She is still happily sleeping in her crib, and we plan on moving her in the next few months or so. We will be moving to another house here in our neighborhood within the next few months, and are waiting to change her room until we have a new place. I found the most adorable bed for her too! It's a antique white canopy bed from Restoration Hardware-- she will LOVE it!!

Crib Bedding

Here is the Bedding we decided on for Baby Boy's nursery. It was quite a task, girls are just so much easier (even names and clothes are much easier too!). Anyhow, we ordered it from Restoration Hardware. I was going to have a woman make us our bedding, but the fabrics didn't turn out how I wanted them too, and this set was much cheaper. I love blues and browns together! I also think it will go nicely with our furniture.

My little shopper!

Miss Addy loves her clothes!! Her favorite store in Williamsburg is the Lilly Pullitzer store. They had a big sale this weekend, so Addy was excited to take part in the festivities!! The ladies are very sweet to her and let he play in the dressing room. She's also been given a Lilly Lollipop a few times too (although she asks every time we go if she can have one). She refuses to let me carry any of her bags, so this is how she walks around town. I had to take a picture when she came strolling into the house with her bags!

Making Pizza

One of Addy's favorite things to do is help mommy with dinner. I try to do a few kid friendly recipes that she can help with (thanks to Eve who bought me the "Cooking Together" Williams Sonoma Cookbook-- we love it!!). Her favorite thing to make is pizza, so I try to do it every other Friday or so. Everyday she'll step on her stool and ask to help make pizza.

I caught her eating the pepperoni!! Little stinker loves pork!!!

Christmas Pictures-- FINALLY!!

I am finally getting around to posting these Christmas pictures. We returned on New Year's, but have been so busy and also lost our internet connection for a few days. We had a lovely Christmas staying with my parents near Boston (their last Christmas on the East Coast!). We were able to relax and be lazy during vacation. Addy was a good girl this year because she had so many toys to unwrap Christmas morning. Grandma and Grandpa spoiled her with a ton of Princess toys! She loved playing dress-up for us in her new outfits and shoes.

Christmas Town at Busch Gardens

Busch Gardens started Christmas Town for the first time this year. Basically, the park is open in the afternoons until evening on the weekends starting the weekend of Thanksgiving. They are also open every night the week of Christmas. We took Addy on Monday night and went with some of our friends and their kids. It was awesome! The whole park is decorated with festive lights and decor. They also have 5 Christmas shows to watch, open a few of the rides, serve yummy peppermint hot chocolate, and other delicious warm treats. Addy loved the Sesame Street Christmas show, it was adorable! The weather was cold, but definitely mild compared to what it has been. We had such a nice evening that we didn't realize it was almost 10 by the time we got home.

One of the shows, Deck The Halls, had singers and dancers performing to Christmas songs. Addy and Libby had fun getting on the table and dancing, most people around us were watching them instead of the show!
