Zoo

We took Addy to the zoo for the first time this past weekend. We knew she would love it because of her curiosity of all animals and the different sounds they make. Her favorite was the lions, she loves to say "roar!!"" But the other highlight was feeding the goats. It was so adorable because she found the smallest little goat, who was about her size, and decided that was the one she wanted to feed. She kept trying to feed him a poop pellet instead of food (she picked it up off the ground), and she was so upset when he wouldn't eat it! She also had fun sitting on the bronze Rhino.

Father's Day

We had a very nice time celebrating Father's Day yesterday. Jeff is lucky to have 2 celebrations for him in one week! We went to church and brunch in the morning, and then walked around the shops at New Town. Addy had a blast waving hello to all of the stores and people/manequins/animals inside of them. Jeff is such a wonderful daddy that it's always very hard for her on Monday mornings when he leaves for work. When Addy and I arrived home around lunchtime today, she ran around the house searching for daddy. She was so sad that he was still at work-- such a Daddy's girl!!!

River Farm

Addy and I went up to Northern VA for a quick trip to meet baby Aiofe Cullinan and hang out with Aidan and Emmy. Becky and I took the girls to the River Farm park one morning, and Becky took these cute pictures of Addy. I forgot my camera, of course, so I have no pictures of the new baby. I love how in every picture Addy manages to have a snack or some type of food in her hand! This will be quite an interesting conversation when she's older and looks at pictures of herself :)

Mother's Day Out

We enrolled Addy in Mother's Day Out for the summer one day a week. She had her first day on Thursday and had a blast! A few of her friends are in her class, so she was excited to play. I think she is officially out of her "separation anxiety" stage that started up a few months ago. She was very happy to say bye to mommy after I dropped her off at "school". The program is from 9 - 12, and they play with toys, play outside, have circle time with songs/books, craft time, and snack time. When I came to pick her up she was so proud to show me her first real piece of artwork (I'm sure we have many of these to come)! When we got home she told me she wanted to give it to daddy and was so upset when daddy wasn't in his room. He had a nice surprise waiting for him when he came home!
