Sneak Peak............

Here is a sneak preview of Addy's halloween costume! Soooo cute, I don't want to post all of them because I have to save some for Halloween. She LOVES the costume, thank you Grandma Tina!

Dylan visit!

This picture was taken when Dylan was only 5 days old and Addy was 5 weeks old! We had a special treat this weekend when our friends Katie and Ben Crombe came down to visit us from Northern VA. Addy and Dylan haven't been around each other for months! I found this picture of them when they were just tiny babies so I had to post. The girls had a great time playing with all of Addy's new toys. They also enjoyed a bath together-- too cute.

Playgroup

Wednesdays mornings are busy for us! Addy has her music class at 9:00, and then we have our neighborhood playgroup at 11:00. We meet at the playground right down the street and Addy loves the swings. Today, she would not leave the house without Bunny. Bunny also had to take a ride in the swing (she keeps a death grip on Bunny). Addy's friend Elizabeth wanted to push her in the swing, and they were too adorable that I had to take pictures. On a side note, her music class is AWESOME. She LOVES it!! Addy bounces and hums while the teacher sings, she bangs her sticks together with the beat, and giggles non-stop.
I love this picture because she looks so serious-- but she really did have lots of fun in the swing.

Addy's new cousin

My brother and sister-in-law just added a new addition to the family! They adopted another sweet baby boy. Baby Dominic Victor Tillotson was born on September 8, 2008-- 6lbs 14oz, 20 inches, and adorable! Dominic and Marcus have the same birth mother, what a wonderful and courageous woman! This is Addy's 3rd boy cousin born within the last year-- how fun! Check out their blog for more pictures www.tillos.blogspot.com. We are so happy for them.

Addy's first birthday party!

Addy had a great birthday party! She had some of her friends over, and received so many nice gifts! Lots of toys.
Our neighbor, Barbara, bought Addy the Laugh and Learn house and it's her new favorite toy-- she LOVES it!

Birthday Cake

Here are the after pictures of the cake. Addy went to town on a ladybug first, then she ate a piece of carrot cake! The cake is pictured below (before she ate through it).

We did a bug/butterfly garden theme for Addy's birthday party. I made 2 salads, burgers, hot dogs, yummy dirt (you can see it in the flower pot), watermelon, punch, and cake. I made a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, toasted coconut on top (died green to look like grass) and mini bug cakes that I decorated with fondant icing and sprinkles.
Addy is a little unsure at first of everyone singing to her and this HUGE cake we put in front of her. It didn't take her long to LOVE the cake!

Happy Birthday Addy!!

Our beautiful baby girl celebrated her first birthday today! It seems as though I was just pregnant, and I am still unsure where the year has gone. The best year of our lives! Addy continues to fill our lives with love and excitement every day. She is really starting to communicate with us and is full of energy! She is a master crawler and doesn't seem too concerned about learning to walk. Our little baby also has a mouth full of 12 teeth! She still loves to eat and has tried many new things lately. I gave her a tomato, spinach, and cheese omelet to celebrate her birthday and she wasn't too crazy about it (which is VERY unusual for her). Tonight she had her first piece of cake and LOVED IT!! We wouldn't expect anything different. I made her a yummy carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Yesterday, Addy received a package from Mimi and Papa. As you can see in the top picture, Addy dumped out all the peanuts and played with the boxes. This morning, we sang to her when she woke up and let her open all of her gifts from us and Mimi and Papa. She loves all of her new toys and clothes! Her birthday party will be tomorrow and we will be sure to post more pictures of the little birthday girl with all of the excitement!

Watermelon

We went to a birthday party at the beach on Saturday, and Addy got a hold of one of her favorites-- WATERMELON! I don't ever buy it, but it seems to be served at every event we attend and she loves it. One of her favorite things to do is eat the rind. She tries the green edge first. She then spotted the chocolate cupcakes and we all know how much mommy LOVES chocolate. We are very excited for her birthday in a few days! She will definitely get to try a yummy carrot cake that I am making for her party.
