Castle Combe

Castle Combe was located right near the village we stayed in outside of bath. It is known in England as the "Prettiest Village" and for good reason! I also saw that it was ranked #2 of the top 30 villages in the World. We loved it! It was so cute, and we just had a blast walking around snapping photos. It's a tiny little village that had a few really good restaurants. Many movies have been filmed here. Luke and Addy had fun exploring the different houses and doors.

Bath, England

After spending a few days in London, an afternoon in Windsor, we headed to a small village outside of Bath called Colerne. I have always wanted to visit the English Countryside, and it didn't disappoint! Our Bed and Breakfast was awesome, and all the surrounding villages were adorable. Bath was a neat city, small and full of charm. We really enjoyed the tour of the Roman Baths. Even Addy said it was one of her favorite things all week.

London and Windsor

We recently returned from a very fun week in the UK. Jeff had some work in London, so the kids and I did some fun stuff during the day. I just absolutely love London. It's such a great place for kids! This is our 3rd time going and we have yet to do anything twice; there is so much to see! This time around we did some new things. We went to the British Museum, the V&A Childhood Museum, spent some time at the "Peter Pan" Playground, and even got to see a Matilda the Musical! That was definitely the highlight for me and Addy. We went to a night show and left Luke home with Jeff. It was Spectacular!!! Best broadway show I've ever seen! Luke was a little sad he didn't get to go, but we made up for it by taking him to an afternoon "Stupendous Tea". It was right across from the Cambridge Theatre and a family friendly tea filled with lots of treats. After 3 full days in London, we rented a car and drove out to Windsor. We toured Windsor which was also really cool. The town was really charming and adorable. Our only complaint was the 100 GBP ticket we received for being 7minutes late to our car! Pretty ridiculous!! We are in the process of appealing it, but now we know why the Queen lives so well :)

V&A Childhood Museum: The kids loved this place. It was basically a history of toys with lots of hands on activities like dress-up:

Happy Birthday Addy!

Here is our sweet 6 year old at her birthday party! We were able to celebrate in Williamsburg this year. Addy decided on another tea party (surprise, surprise). This year she wanted a Parisian style party complete with French Macarons, her favorite! Her actual birthday was actually spent on a plane back to Germany. She then only had a few hours before she was back to bed due to the time change. But we made up for it by celebrating before we left. We even took her to an American Girl Doll store in Tyson's Corner and booked an afternoon tea. She loved it! She also picked a doll for her birthday:

Barbara was so kind to let us use her finest tea set collection. She and Addy had quite a good time picking out which ones to use for the party:
