Along with our trip to the Keukenhof, we visited Amsterdam for a full day. The city was really neat, almost like a bigger version of Bruges. Tons of canals run through the city, lots of charm and history, and plenty of neat little cafes to enjoy some yummy treats! We did a canal boat tour, visited the Anne Frank House, visited the Market Dom, and enjoyed strolling the streets. I had just finished re-reading the Anne Frank diary so I especially enjoyed our trip inside the museum. The kids were oblivious to the history behind the house, but still enjoyed it. We also tasted some very yummy Dutch pancakes! I have also come to the conclusion that the Dutch are the nicest people in Europe. I would love to go back and spend more time there.
This very cheesy Carnival took over the Market Dom Square ( a little unfortunate for picture reasons). So of course the kids had to ride the Ferris Wheel. It actually had a great view of the whole city that all of us enjoyed.
