Trier, Luxembourg

Our first part of our 5 day girl's trip was to Trier, Germany. We spent two nights in this charming city and saw almost all of the sites. This neat little city is along the Mosul River about a 2 hour drive from our house. It is famous for Roman Bath ruins and terrific wine! We enjoyed both :) After Trier, we headed to Luxembourg city in Luxembourg. We saw most of the city via a Hop on Hop off Bus tour, and poor Jen was feeling really crummy that day so we didn't explore too much more. Luxembourg was beautifully green and lush on the outskirts and also had some very modern looking architecture. We enjoyed the inside of the city that was more characteristically "European". Maybe on another trip I'll spend more time in the city.

Porta Nigra Gate in Trier (no pictures of Jen because she was feeling under the weather almost the entire few days in both cities!!)

Trier Dom, main Cathedral. Beautiful on the inside too!

Imperial Roman Baths-- the best ancient Roman Ruins in Germany!

Luxembourg City

Luxembourg Palace. We thought these blue sheep were a little weird. They were "art" and were being sold for over $200 per sheep!!
