Ronneburg Easter Market

Not only does Germany have fabulous Christmas Markets, but there is such a thing as Easter Markets too. Markets of any kind are a big hit in my book! I posted about the weather being fantastic in my last post, and it has been gorgeous the past two weeks (until today). So last weekend we were invited by our German neighbors to a neat town Ronneburg (about a 30 min drive) that supposedly had a great Easter Market. Ronneburg is awesome. The town is very medieval with a large castle being the focal point. The castle hosts plenty of events throughout the year, and the festivities are always themed with a medieval flare. It was very cool! Throughout the market, all the booths and workers were dressed the part. There were Knights and jesters walking around. Plenty of people who attend also dress the part (we thought that was pretty hilarious). The beer and wine booths serve drinks out of old pottery, and most of the food was very unique too. We even walked around a bit inside the Castle. We can't wait to go back during the fall and for Christmas!

This medieval carousel was really cool, although Luke didn't want to try
