Garmisch

Garmisch. A little Heaven on Earth. Jeff still thinks it's his favorite place in Europe and I am thinking that I agree with him (so far with all of the places we've been). This past weekend we took a 4 day, 3 night trip to ski in Garmish. This is the second time we've gone (last time was in the summer which was absolutely beautiful). We spent Saturday and Sunday skiing, and even took the kids up on the mountain. Our friends, the Hackenbergs's, joined us with their two kids (age 5). The skiing worked out quite nicely. Jeff and Brian stayed with the kids in the morning while Staci and I skied, and then the guys took their turn skiing in the afternoon. The mountain had a great area for kids that Jeff *attempted* to give Addy a few ski lessons. She wasn't too thrilled with skiing, but still had a fun time playing around on one ski and watching her friends ski down the little hill. She was too young for ski lessons, so next winter we'll again when she will be officially 5! We had a great trip and will definitely be back to Garmish probably another 2 times this year! We love everything about this charming place. We even had some fantastic meals that will definitely be repeated in the near future!

This is the kids area. The tube looking thing is called the "magic carpet". It's basically a conveyer belt that gets kids up the small hill to practice. Jeff skied Addy down a few times.
He also held Luke and skied him down the hill! We really think Luke will get on skies next winter and be young enough to love it without having any fear!
Garmisch we love you and all your charm:

Is there anything more beautiful?
