Every fall, Ludwigsburg hosts the largest pumpkin festival in the World. We attended last year and really loved it. Each year they pick a new theme and create massive pumpkin displays (last year it was dinosaurs). This year the theme was the Swiss Alps. The kids love running around looking at the neat creations, and also enjoy the Ludwigsburg Palace grounds. The Palace has a Fairy Tale park where they have interactive exhibits that give a story of each Fairy Tale in German. Highlights include Rapunzel's Tower, Hansel and Gretel's House, the Selfish Giant's Castle, Little Red Riding Hood, Pinocchio's boat ride, and many more. Luke really got to enjoy it more this year now that he's older. My favorite part is the pumpkin deliciousness food they serve! We had pumpkin pasta, pumpkin soup, pumpkin fries, pumpkin wine, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin bread, and pumpkin streudel!
