We had a BIG day in our family last week. Jeff was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel! It actually happened at the beginning of April, but we made it official with the ceremony on Friday. We are so proud of Jeffrey! We are also approaching his 17th year in the Army (not counting West Point so really it should be 21). IT was a very lovely and quiet ceremony with his small office and a few friends. The weather turned out lovely and we enjoyed a BBQ lunch and German Chocolate Cake (his request for me to make). Jeff also had a few surprises for all of us:

Now that is certainly something to celebrate! Congrats Jeff!!!! You all are obviously so proud, as you should be. So happy for you all.
